A choreographer with a PhD / An entreprenour’s mind in an atlete’s body
Jorge Crecis is a choreographer, lecturer and performer. For the last 20 years, Jorge has been training world-class dancers, musicians and executive directors towards replicating peak performance presence, combat stage fright or performance anxiety as well as increasing creativity and productivity.
In 2018 Jorge has been awarded a PhD by Goldsmiths, University of London for his unique cutting-edge training methodology.
He studied Sport Sciences while training as a full time dancer at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid. As a professional dancer he worked with many high profile companies throughout Europe till 2008 when he was headhunted by the top leading dance conservatoire in London. Till 2012 he combined his position as a full-time lecturer at London Contemporary Dance School and guest teacher at other international institutions such as Beijing Dance Academy, Roger Williams University (USA). Over the last ten years Jorge has been commissioned by companies based in the UK, Europe, Russia, and China and his work has been presented in the main theatres around the world: from the prestigious New York City Centre (USA), to the avant-garde 798 District in Beijing (China) or Sadlers Wells and the Royal Opera House in London (UK). Critically acclaimed, his work has been described as: “irrepressible good fun” (The Guardian), “perfect” (The Independent) or “a Sudoku brought to life” (The Times).
He has worked with dance personalities such as Carlos Acosta and music legends: Paul McCartney and Natasha Khan among others. Now, he is sharing their secret to other professional whose job requires them to be at their best all the time.
